ACROSS THE BAY

Take a look at the breathtaking views you can see whilst sitting in the restaurant or lying on your lounger sipping one of our superb iced cocktails.

This is a view of Agia Kiriaki chapel, or the white chapel which lies directly across from our restaurant. The chapel is best known because the remains of archaeologist Wilhelm Dorpfeld are buried inside the garden of what was his house. You can reach it by walking around the bay or by boat, bicycle or pedallo. At night the church is illuminated and makes the perfect backdrop for your romantic meal.

The view to the left of our restaurant is of the poets island. Madouri.
This was the home of Greek poet Aristotle Valaoritis who owned the island.
This picture shows his home, known as the pink house.
Madouri lies just 800 metres away.

Aristotle Onassis bought the beautiful island of Skorpios opposite Nidri,
in the 1960's. This part of the Ionian was his favourite place and the island is
tied to both the happy and the tragic moments of the Onassis family.
Aristotle, his son Alexander and his daughter Christina, all rest in the private family church on the island. Skorpios lies three miles out into the bay.

This is one of one of the beautiful sunrises.
The picture shows a small fishing boat heading out into the tranquil bay.
This is a typical early morning sight.
